GRELEN TRAILS

6+ MILES OF WALKING/HIKING TRAILS THROUGH
GRELEN NURSERY'S 1000 ACRES OF THE VA FOOTHILLS
The Grelen Trails were founded in 2015 to celebrate and preserve our beautiful 1,000 acres in the Virginia Foothills. Grelen and James Madison's Montpelier collaborated with The Piedmont Environmental Council (PEC) to create a connector trail (now designated a Virginia Treasure) to provide access to both properties.
There are options for all ages and skills, as well as dog friendly!... take a walk up to a gorgeous vista overlooking Grelen Nursery or go for a long run/hike through the nursery, meadows, and old-growth forest. Including Montpelier's system, there are over 15 miles of hiking trails to explore. Grelen Trail Systems are FREE and open to the public during business hours. The Montpelier Trail Systems are always free to Orange County residents but non-Orange County residents must purchase at least a property pass to access the trails.
