We are thrilled to welcome Wendy Whitfield to The Market at Grelen as our new Floral Specialist! Wendy brings an incredible combination of talent, creativity, horticultural knowledge, and contagious enthusiasm to this brand-new role—and we cannot wait to see what she creates.

Wendy joins Grelen from Hedge Fine Blooms in Charlottesville, where she has served as a lead floral designer for the past year and a half. Her work has focused on creating beautiful, custom floral arrangements for daily deliveries, corporate clients, and individual customers, as well as unique dried floral designs for homes and businesses. She has also been part of the talented Hedge team creating flowers for weddings, special events, and large-scale botanical installations—including weddings right here at Grelen!

Wendy has also been a local flower farmer and owner of Flowers In Thyme, her own micro flower farm in Orange. With years of experience growing, harvesting, and designing with flowers, she brings a wonderful understanding of the entire process—from seed to field to finished arrangement.

At Grelen, Wendy will help us develop an exciting new floral division while bringing her creative eye throughout The Market. She will work closely with our Flower Field, create seasonal bouquets and floral designs, expand our houseplant and tropical offerings, develop workshops and new floral experiences, and dream up fresh ways to incorporate Grelen-grown flowers and foliage into everything we do.

Most of all, Wendy brings tremendous energy, creativity, and enthusiasm to Grelen. She loves flowers, plants, gardening, and design—and she loves sharing that passion with others. We already know she is going to bring so much personality and inspiration to The Market.
